Kentucky looks to have all but locked up the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament while North Carolina can nail down a No. 1 seed with a win in the ACC Tournament final.
As Kentucky prepares to clash with Vanderbilt on Sunday in the SEC Tournament championship game, SB Nation's Chris Dobbertean thinks the Wildcats have done enough to already secure the top seed in the NCAA Tournamentthanks to Syracuse's loss in the Big East Tournament.
Kentucky will be the top overall seed in the bracket, even though they needed to put a lot more effort into defeating LSU in the SEC quarterfinals than expected. They can thank Cincinnati, who handled Syracuse in the Big East semifinals. The Orange are locked in at No. 2 overall.
Dobbertean also projects North Carolina as a No. 1 seed as the Tar Heels prepare to meet the Florida State Seminoles in the ACC Tournament final. The big winner from the ACC Tournament is NC State who defeated Virginia and jumps into the NCAA Tournament field according to Dobbertean's projections.
