2012 NCAA Women's Tournament, Georgia Tech Vs. Baylor: Yellow Jackets Fall To Bears, 83-68

Stay connected for news and updates

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets had the tough assignment of going up against the undefeated Baylor Bears in the Sweet 16. Baylor lived up to their hype and Georgia Tech was not able to keep up and their season ended by losing 83-68.

Georgia Tech had an early 10-6 lead over Baylor, but that is the last lead they would have as Baylor went on a 20-0 run to essentially secure the win over Georgia Tech.

It did not help that Georgia Tech's offense struggled as they shot 37 percent from the field, but they did go 10-of-19 from the three-point range. Also it did not help that Georgia Tech went 3-of-6 from the line while Baylor went 22-of-30 from the free throw line. The best player for Georgia Tech Saturday afternoon was freshman Sydney Wallace who scored 32 points on 12-of-22 shooting.
