Georgia got some more good recruiting news during shortly before its G-Day game when Florida defensive back Reggie Wilkerson picked the Bulldogs over South Carolina, Clemson and others. Wilkerson becomes Georgia's 15th commitment for its 2013 class.
Wilkerson is a 6-foot, 175 pound corner who becomes the Bulldogs' fourth or fifth commitment that will get a look in the secondary. The Bulldogs went into this recruiting period with rebuilding the secondary as a priority and are well on their way to achieving that goal. Wilkerson is rated as a three-star talent by Rivals.com and had offers from Clemson, South Carolina, Vanderbilt and Texas A&M among others.
Wilkerson joins Shaq Wiggins Tramel Terry, J.J. Green and Steven Nelson as those players committed that could get a look in the secondary. The Bulldogs are expected to add as many as 30 new players in 2013 provided there are enough early enroll candidates.
