A release by the school to faculty confirms that Adams will be making an announcement at the chapel but did not mention what the announcement would be. Adams is expected to announce that he will retire on June 30, 2013 from his post as University President. Adams has served as President for the last 16 years. By announcing the move this early, it give Georgia's Board of Regents ample time to begin searching for a replacement.
Adams tenure has saw many ups and downs and some aren't too upset about seeing him go.
