Mark Richt's Georgia Bulldogs are ranked sixth in SB Nation's latest BlogPoll.

Expectations are quite high this year for the Georgia Bulldogs, and that's been reflected in SB Nation's latest BlogPoll -- an interesting spin on college football rankings. Mark Richt's Bulldogs are ranked No. 6 in the BlogPoll, third in the SEC only to LSU and Alabama -- the two teams that met in the title game last season.

Last year, the Bulldogs finished up 10-4, after losing in triple overtime in the Outback Bowl to Michigan State. Georgia also had a chance to win the SEC title, playing against LSU in the title game, but were blown out by Les Miles' team, 42-10.

Georgia will get a taste of the new-look SEC almost immediately, as they head to Missouri in Week 2 to welcome the Tigers to the SEC. As is the case every year in the SEC, Georgia will have excel in SEC play if they're going to make a serious run at a BCS game -- or even the national title in 2012.
