Another set of watch lists for the 2012 college football season has been released with the Nagurski and Outland Trophies. The Nagurski is awarded to the best defensive player in the nation, while the Outland goes to the best interior lineman.
The Georgia Bulldogs had a pair of players who were named to the Nagurski list, the two were defensive lineman John Jenkins and linebacker Jarvis Jones. In 2011 Jenkins recorded 28 total tackles, six tackles for loss, three sacks and an interception. Jones had an impressive 2011 season by recording 70 tackles, 19.5 tackles for loss, 13.5 sacks, broke up two passes and forced a pair of fumbles.
Jenkins also was named as a nominee for the Outland Trophy.
