Georgia Looking At Potential Penn State Transfers, Mark Richt Says

While Penn State is dealing with Monday's program-crippling news, other schools aren't going to give the Nittany Lions any time to work things out.

Penn State players are eligible to transfer without penalty, so teams will be going after the free-agent-type players, including Georgia. From the Atlanta Journal-Constitution:

Coach Mark Richt said at a fans' "UGA Day" Monday night, "Some colleges are going to be interested in some of their players, and we're one of those schools. It's pretty well-documented that we're under our 85[-scholarship] limit. We'll try to get in touch with some of these young men and see if they're interested."

Richt said he and the assistant coaches had already gone over Penn State's two-deep roster and will look at players that fit needs. The Bulldogs certainly aren't the only team, as the unique penalties have created open season for player-poaching.
