Isaiah Crowell Transferring To Alabama State, According To Report

Well, it certainly didn't take Isaiah Crowell long to find a new program to call his own. Crowell, who was dismissed by the University of Georgia's football team last Friday, will take his talents to Montgomery, Alabama, as he will transfer to Alabama State University.

If you weren't aware, Crowell was dismissed from Georgia's team after being arrested on felony weapons charges.

Crowell stands accused of possessing a weapon in a school zone, and possessing an altered ID mark, both felonies. He has hired top-flight lawyer Steve Sadow, one of Georgia's finest defense attorneys, to represent him in the case, but may not need to be cleared of wrongdoing to be eligible to play for the Hornets.

Because Alabama State is a member of the Football Championship Subdivision, essentially, D-II, he will not need to sit out a year before being eligible to play, and is eligible to play in the fall for the Hornets.
