After earlier conflicting reports that former Georgia running back Isaiah Crowell was either transferring to Alabama State or still weighing his options, Hornets coach Reggie Barlow confirmed that Crowell was transferring.
"We got an opportunity to recruit Isaiah, and I imagine a lot of other teams were recruiting him as well," Barlow said. "But his family, they've made a decision that they are going to come to Alabama State University. He has been admitted into the university. He's registered for class and he will be starting class on Monday."
Alabama State is an FCS school, so Crowell would be eligible to play right away. He has been charged with two felonies and a misdemeanor in connection with his arrest last Friday, which resulted in his dismissal from Georgia.
