Outside linebacker Jarvis Jones of the Georgia Bulldogs is considered the No. 1 draft prospect in the country by many, including Mel Kiper Jr., after a dominant performance against Missouri.
The hype for Georgia Bulldogs outside linbacker Jarvis Jones is rising, as the junior is now listed as the No. 1 prospect on Mel Kiper Jr.'s draft board after a re-ranking Wednesday.
Jones, who transferred from USC, was already on the top of Todd McShay's draft board, but a pair of sacks, two forced fumbles, and an interception against Missouri vaulted him to the top of Kiper's board. Here's what Kiper had to say about Jones in his most recent update:
(Jones) didn't play Saturday as he rested a tweaked groin, but dominated Missouri the week before, showing off the full range. An explosive, relentless edge rusher, he profiles as a 3-4 OLB. He has a quick first step and violent hands, tackles well, and closes fast. Solid against the run, and can really cover.
The junior sat out against Florida Atlantic to rest a groin injury, but is expected to return Saturday against Vanderbilt.
