Tennessee vs. Georgia: Volunteers coach Derek Dooley talks highly of Bulldogs

Stay connected for news and updates

Tennessee Volunteers head coach Derek Dooley had a press conference on Tuesday talking about the Georgia Bulldogs. In that press conference, Dooley addressed in his opening statement what his team is up against on Saturday:

"There's no sense in me talking about how good they are," he said. "They're probably playing as good as I've seen them in a long time."

The last time the Volunteers played in Athens, Ga., the Bulldogs won 41-14 in 2010. Dooley knows that to win, the Volunteers defense has to make freshman running back Todd Gurley a non-factor.

"We've got to win the line of scrimmage first, have good scheme discipline and then bring a lot of hats to the football, because one guy ain't gonna bring him down," Dooley said.

The Bulldogs host the Volunteers on Saturday on Saturday afternoon, kick off scheduled for 3:30 p.m. The game will be televised on CBS.
