With the way Tevin Washington played against BYU on Sunday, Paul Johnson and the Georgia Tech coaching staff might be considering a change at quarterback.
It may be time for Georgia Tech to make a switch at the quarterback position. Backup quarterback Vad Lee is already a popular player, and after Tevin Washington's performance against Brigham Young on Saturday, his time as the starter for this team could be nearing.
Tech head coach Paul Johnson said they'd "take a look and see where they are" when it comes to the QB situation. Against BYU, the Jackets had to take Washington out since he was mostly ineffective. Washington was on the cusp of the modest milestone of 3,000 career passing yards, just 23 yards shy of the mark going into the game. But he was unable to reach it, completing 1-of-5 passes for 9 yards and threw an interception that was nearly returned for a touchdown.
Lee was able to lead the Jackets to a field goal on his first possession, but nothing happened for Tech after that.
