Georgia will focus on Texas more heavily this season after Texas A&M's inclusion to the SEC.

With Georgia on a bye week, the Bulldogs coaching staff is set to hit the recruiting trail, according to the Athens Banner-Herald, with the state of Texas in their sights. The Bulldogs aren't total strangers to the Lone Star State - former quarterback and Dallas native Matthew Stafford is one notable name - but the addition of Texas A&M to the SEC is opening the borders for conference teams, according to recruiting coordinator Rodney Garner:

Georgia has switched up some of its recruiting areas among its assistants and will be going more into Texas now that Texas A&M is in the Southeastern Conference.

"We want to be able to go throw a hook in the water and see if we can get a little nibble," Garner said.

According to Scout.com, Georgia currently has the No. 5 recruiting class in the nation, tailing only the Aggies for best in the SEC. Rivals.com has the Bulldogs at No. 8, trailing Alabama (No. 2), LSU (No. 4) and Florida (No. 6) in the conference.
