Kentucky will look for the upset behind a true freshman quarterback.

For the third straight game, the Kentucky Wildcats will start true freshman Jalen Whitlow at quarterback in Saturday's game against the No. 13 Georgia Bulldogs, according to the Athens Banner-Herald.

Whitlow took over for another freshman, Patrick Towles, who has a high ankle sprain. He is considered doubtful for Saturday's game. Both have seen starting time this year since starter Maxwell Smith went down with an injury.

Whitlow has started the past two games - both losses - 27-14 to Mississippi State and 49-7 to Arkansas.

"Jalen, every snap he gets is only good for him being able to grow in this program," coach Joker Phillips said Monday.

Whitlow has completed just 42 percent of his passes this season. He's 25-for-60 for 282 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions.

In last weekend's loss to Arkansas, Whitlow was 2-for-10 for 83 yards and a touchdown. Morgan Newton also saw time behind center, passing 2-for-5 for 21 yards.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday in Kentucky.
