After scoring 40-plus points in each of their first five games to open the 2012 season, the Georgia Bulldogs' offense learned a tough lesson against South Carolina on October 6: they can be stopped.

Georgia managed just seven points in a 35-7 road loss to then No. 6 South Carolina and their only score in the game came with less than two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.

Freshman tailback Todd Gurley told Marc Weiszer of The Augusta Chronicle:

We learned, basically, as an offense, really, that we can be stopped," freshman tailback Todd Gurley said. "South Carolina did kind of stop us."

Gurley leads Georgia with 81 carries for 575 yards and nine touchdowns but managed only 39 yards on 13 carries versus the Gamecocks.

Leading up to their game versus South Carolina, Georgia lost No. 1 wide receiver Michael Bennett for the season after he tore his ACL in practice.

The Bulldogs will face a Kentucky team this Saturday that is giving 32.9 points a game.
