Bulldogs defensive coordinator Todd Grantham likes what he's seen from Washington in 2012.

Georgia Bulldogs defensive coordinator Todd Grantham praised linebacker/defensive end Cornelius Washington this week.

"I think he's played well in the things we've asked him to do," Grantham said. "He's been a team guy. He has played end, outside linebacker and inside in our nickel stuff, too. He's shown up a little bit. Sometimes it doesn't show to the naked eye."

Washington has three tackles for loss and 15 total tackles in 2012. He also has eight quarterback hurries, which is the second-highest total on the team.

The senior entered the season having played in 37 games for the Bulldogs, including 15 starts. He appeared in 12 games last season and recorded six tackles for loss, including five sacks. Over the course of his career, he has racked up 10.5 sacks.

Washington and the Bulldogs return to the field this weekend against the Kentucky Wildcats, and they'll be going for their fourth conference win of the season.
