Jeff Blake-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

The Georgia Bulldogs have to be prepared for South Carolina sophomore defensive end Jadeveon Clowney when the two teams meet this Saturday in Columbia, S.C.

As the Georgia Bulldogs prepare for the South Carolina Gamecocks this Saturday, the Bulldogs will make sure to account for sophomore defensive end Jadeveon Clowney.

The 2011 SEC Freshman of the Year has continued to impress this year while consistently battling a double team, recording 21 tackles ,with 9½ tackles for a loss and 5½ sacks. Clowney had a big game last week against the Kentucky Wildcats and was named SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week after recording four tackles – 2½ for a loss – and a sack.

In an interview with Marc Weiszer of the Athens Banner-Herald, Georgia linebacker Jarvis Jones said he has been impressed when he's seen Clowney on film:

"I think he's a great player, he's a workhorse. I think he's way bigger than me. I've watched him a little bit, but I've never watched a whole game of him or anything like that."

And while both are among the best defenders in the country, Jones isn't concerned about who might be perceived as the better player:

"I'm not into challenging who's better or none of that. I know I work hard. I'm going to challenge everybody I'm up against. I'm sure he'll do the same."
