Georgia Vs. Florida: Josh Harvey-Clemons adjusting to special teams

Georgia Bulldogs defensive back Josh Harvey-Clemons has been adjusting to playing on special teams after being recruited as a five-star player.

Georgia Bulldogs freshman defensive back Josh Harvey-Clemons has been dealing with adjustments to playing on special teams after being recruited as a five-star player. In an interview with Seth Emerson of The Telegraph, Havey-Clemons believes that getting advice from his grandfather and other family members has helped him adjust to not playing much defense:

"Because in recruiting they come in and tell you you're gonna play, and all that. So I was a little down for a little bit. But they told me: 'You're on special teams, you're out there, you're not redshirting, so just take advantage of that.' Because at first I was like, 'Man I don't wanna play no special teams.' So it's really working out, I've just gotta keep working hard."

Harvey-Clemons has recorded 11 tackles so far this season, most of them recorded while on special teams. Last week, he was named the special teams captain, which is a rarity for a freshman. While at practice, Harvey-Clemons has been impressive, intercepting two passes during the team's bye week practices.

His future with the team still remains a question. Recruited as a middle linebacker, his current size would not be conducive to playing the position:

"I know they have me lifting hard when I do go in the weight room. So I don't know if they're trying to put on weight to go to linebacker, or what."
