Abry Jones has not played for the Georgia Bulldogs since their Oct. 6 loss to South Carolina.

Tweets from several current and former teammates indicated that Georgia Bulldogs defensive end Abry Jones could be out for the season. The team has not yet confirmed these rumors. Still, tweets like the one below seem to express that Jones is done:

Derrick Lott is a former teammate of Jones'. Lott now plays at UT-Chattanooga.

Jones has been out since leaving the Oct. 6 game against South Carolina with a left ankle injury. The senior lineman has amassed 17 tackles in six games so far this season.

Fans are hoping sophomore Ray Drew will get a chance to fill in. Drew was a five-star recruit who has appeared in just four games for Georgia this season.

Last year, Jones played in every game for the Bulldogs. The 308-pound defensive end totalled 45 tackles and four sacks.
