Aaron Murray has gone through plenty of success as the quarterback of the Georgia Bulldogs. But his final stepping stone to becoming one of college football's best signal callers is winning so-called "big games," according to a report in The (Macon) Telegraph.

Murray is just 2-7 in his career against opponents ranked in the top 25, and both of his wins came against teams ranked in the 20s that subsequently fell out of the polls after losing to Georgia.

Murray can start to erase the doubts about his ability to win the "big game" Saturday when No. 5 Georgia (5-0, 3-0 SEC) hits the road to face No. 6 South Carolina (5-0, 3-0).

"I don't look at it as a personal achievement," Murray told The Telegraph. "It's definitely a team achievement, and right now it's a huge win for us to beat the No. 6 team in the country, to go into their home and beat them. It's another SEC win leading to our ultimate goal of Atlanta and Miami."

Georgia lost to South Carolina, 45-42, last season and Murray turned the ball over twice, including a fumble during the fourth quarter that led to the Gamecocks game-winning score.

"I think he wants to prove himself. It's a big game, and everyone wants to prove themselves in a big game like this," wide receiver Michael Bennett told The Telegraph. "For whatever reason, people say he hasn't played great in big games. But the Florida game last year, he played great. And games we didn't win, the whole team didn't play well."
