Georgia hasn't given up hope that Kolton Houston will be cleared by the NCAA in 2012.

Georgia Bulldogs offensive lineman Kolton Houston was suspended by the NCAA after testing positive for a banned substance, but head coach Mark Richt is hopeful that they'll be able to get Houston eligible this season:

"I don't think we'll ever give up on it. I think there's always a chance that something good can happen. He's going to continue to test."

Houston, who was listed as the team's starting right tackle entering preseason camp, continues to practice with the team and is undergoing drug tests every week. Georgia appealed the NCAA's initial ruling, but that was denied.

Houston joined the program in 2010 and worked his way up from the scout team. He is a redshirt sophomore.

Despite his absence, the Bulldogs are off to a 5-0 start to the 2012 season and ranked in the AP Poll top 10. They face SEC East rival South Carolina on Saturday with first place in the division on the line.
