Georgia's coach isn't taking Georgia Southern lightly.
Georgia Bulldogs' head coach Mark Richt spoke highly of this week's opponent, Georgia Southern, at his regular Sunday evening teleconference, per DogBytesOnline.com's Marc Weiszer.
Richt said key film to watch on Georgia Southern will be from the Eagles' 45-21 loss to Alabama last season.
"There's no doubt about that because our defenses are very similar in how they line up and how they try to scheme things," Richt said in the teleconference. "I don't think there's any doubt that will be the best film by far for us to show our defense."
Richt also said he's not taking the Eagles lightly, although they play in the Southern Conference.
"I look at Georgia Southeren as a winning program," he said. "I really don't look at what league they're in. I know that a team that's used to winning is much more difficult to beat than a team that's not used to winning. Whatever division of ball they're in, I don't know if it really matters sometimes."
The Bulldogs (9-1) host the Eagles (8-2) on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
