Georgia Southern vs Georgia: Mike Bobo has high praise for UGA offense

The Bulldogs' offensive coordinator wasn't afraid to say that these Bulldogs could be the best he's seen

Georgia offensive coordinator Mike Bobo surely was feeling a little queasy about his offense's performance in the first half against Georgia Southern - the Bulldogs only opened up a 10-point lead at the half against an FCS school - but after a second-half explosion, Bobo wasn't afraid to call this Georgia offense one of the best he's ever seen.

After the 45-14 win, Bobo told Dog Bytes Online that Georgia's passing offense might be the best one he's put out on the field yet.

"It's got a chance to be the best offense we've had, but we've got to wait until the season's over," Bobo said. "I think we're playing extremely well. We've got experience at receiver and quarterback. We've got guys who have played in big games and we've got guys who have seen everything you can possibly see on the back end and we've got guys who know how to make the necessary adjustments."

Perhaps Bobo's comments were influenced by Aaron Murray's 330 yards and four touchdowns against Georgia Southern - or maybe by the Bulldogs offense finding a solid new groove over the last three weeks after sputtering in a tight win against Florida.

Now Bobo, Murray and company will need to put that passing game to the ultimate test - two wins in the next two weeks could assure the Bulldogs a chance to play for the BCS title - but it won't be easy against Alabama, the nation's number one defense.
