Georgia opened as eight-point underdogs against Alabama in the SEC Championship Game.

The No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs square off against the No. 2 Alabama Crimson Tide this Saturday in the SEC Championship Game for the right to play the No. 1 Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the BCS National Championship Game. According to OddsShark, the Bulldogs have opened as eight-point underdogs. The total is currently set at 51 points.

The line has moved in both directions according to various sports books. 5Dimes has Alabama as 8.5-point favorites, while JustBet and BetOnline have the Crimson Tide as 7.5-point favorites.

While Georgia and Alabama are both 11-1 on the season, both teams are also just 6-6 against the spread. The Bulldogs and Crimson Tide have similar marks against the total.

These two teams have only played a handful of times since 1995, with Georgia winning three of the five games played. Alabama won the last meeting between the two squads, grabbing a 41-30 win in 2008.
