Ole Miss Vs. Georgia: Offensive line still has room for improvement

Daniel Shirey-US PRESSWIRE

The Georgia offensive line has room to improve after Saturday.

Despite a 37-10 victory over Ole Miss on Saturday that kept Georgia as the favorite to earn a birth in the SEC Championship game, the Bulldogs' offensive line started slowly and has room for improvement in the coming weeks.

Ole Miss jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the game while the Georgia offense ran 11 plays for 48 yards and zero points in the first 15 minutes of the game.

Center David Andrews told Chris Starrs of DogBytes Online that "it was embarrassing" as the offensive line gave up five first half sacks to Ole Miss.

Quarterback Aaron Murray completed 21-of-28 passes for 384 yards and four touchdowns in the game, but was also credited with minus-24 rushing yards due to the sacks in the first half.

The line got better as the game went on as the Bulldogs catapulted the rushing attack to 149 yards on 45 carries and one touchdown while giving Murray enough time to make big plays through the passing game.
