Kenarious Gates and the rest of Georgia offensive line hope to improve after allowing five sacks last week.
The Georgia Bulldogs have taken advantage of the versatility that offensive lineman Kenarious Gates can offer. Gates has started every game this season at left tackle, but the junior showed during last week's contest against Ole Miss that he can still contribute at guard.
When junior Chris Burnette had to leave the Ole Miss game due to a left shoulder injury, Gates filled in at right guard. Gates played left guard last season, and is prepared to contribute where he is needed.
On Saturday, the Bulldogs will take on the Auburn Tigers. Burnette may still be unavailable, so coach Mark Richt could ask Gates to play guard again. At practice on Tuesday, Gates worked at left guard. He told the media, "I have fun at both positions."
The offensive line hopes to improve from last week, when it allowed quarterback Aaron Murray to be sacked five times. This week's opponent, Auburn, has only 18 sacks all season.
