Georgia Vs. Auburn: Bulldogs turn to Chris Conley after Marlon Brown injury

Georgia Bulldogs' wide receiver Chris Conley will look to replace the production of injured senior Marlon Brown.

Georgia Bulldogs' sophomore wide receiver Chris Conley has been named as the replacement for the injured Marlon Brown, who will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury.

Primarily used as a flanker this season, Conley will move inside to the slot to replace Brown. However, Georgia offensive coordinator Mike Bobo told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's Chip Towers that they staff were starting to move him to the slot after an injury to Michael Bennett:

"Conley was starting to play a little Y, the slot receiver, for us when Michael (Bennett) went down. He's still primarily a flanker, but he's going to get the majority of the reps in that slot. Justin Scott-Wesley and (Taylor) Bradberry will be in that role as well."

Conley played a similar role last year after long term injuries to Rantavious Wooten and Malcolm Mitchell forced Georgia to burn his redshirt midway through the season. Conley stepped up in a big way, finishing the season with 16 receptions for 288 yards and two touchdowns.

Conley's production has been down this year after being relegated to backup duty this season, but he has made seven receptions this year for 84 yards and a touchdown.
