Georgia will lose a significant amount of experience on the defensive side of the ball after this season.

The Georgia Bulldogs could lose as many as 12 players who started a game for the defense this season. Nine seniors on defensive side will be departing, including Bacarri Rambo. And several underclassmen, including Jarvis Jones, could end up declaring for the 2013 NFL Draft following the bowl game. The Bulldogs could potentially lose their top four tacklers from this season and their leader in sacks.

Georgia finished the regular season No. 27 in the Football Bowl Subdivision in total defense, No. 17 in scoring defense, No. 78 in rushing defense and No. 32 in pass efficiency defense.

On the plus side for the Bulldogs, the offense should return largely intact. Georgia will bring back 10 starters if Aaron Murray stays in school, its only losses being wide receivers Tavarres King and Marlon Brown. King leads the team in receiving with 846 yards.

Georgia takes on Nebraska in the 2013 Capital One Bowl, which will be played on New Year's Day.
