Georgia Southern Vs. Alabama Halftime Score: Eagles Putting Up A Fight

Stay connected for news and updates

The Southern Conference has done itself proud this Saturday, with conference members giving South Carolina, Auburn, and Florida hell at various points. The SoCon's jewel, Georgia Southern, is facing off with one of the SEC's elites, and looking just fine for itself in the process.

The Tide lead, 24-14, at the half, but have only outgained GSU by seven yards. The Eagles have 180 yards rushing to Bama's 143, and Dominique Swope has put up 37 more yards than has Heisman contender Trent Richardson. Most of those yards came on an 82-yard dash that was Bama's biggest scoring sacrifice of the year.

The Eagles have already matched the highest point total Alabama has given up all season. The Tide surrendered 14 to Arkansas back in September, and have given up double digit points only twice all year.

They're probably not all that happy with it right now.
