The Eagles begin their postseason quest for a NCAA Championship hosting Old Dominion this Saturday.

Georgia Southern and Old Dominion will feature the nation's two best offenses - one a triple option, one a balanced spread option - in the FCS division this Saturday in a second round match-up of the NCAA Division 1 Football Tournament.

Old Dominion (10-2) comes to Statesboro red hot, having won seven of their last eight games, including a first round win over their cross-town rival Norfolk State. Georgia Southern (9-2) earned a first round bye, and hasn't played since losing to Alabama 41-21 two weeks ago in Tuscaloosa. The Eagles earned national recognition for their 21 points scored against the Crimson Tide, more than any other opponent has put up on Bama all season.

The winner will move on to face the winner of the Appalachian State / Maine winner in the Quarterfinals.
