The Georgia Southern Eagles rolled over Western Carolina on Saturday to improve to 4-1. The Eagles jumped out to an early 14-0 lead against the conference foe, and then poured it on from there for a 45-13 win. The Eagles had three ball carriers rush for over 100 yards, as they pounded down the Catamounts with one rush after another. They racked up 614 yards on the ground.

Darreion Robinson opened the scoring with a 48-yard scamper on the Eagles opening drive, and they would never look back. Robinson carried the ball 11 times for 124 yards and a touchdown. His first quarter burst set the tone for the rest of the game.

Sophomore fullback Dominique Swope was right on Robinson's heels, rushing it 20 times for 117 yards and a touchdown of his own. Swope punched it in from five yards out for the second score of the game.

While the Eagles had plenty of success on the ground, they were also remarkably efficient through the air. Georgia Southern was content to run it out on the ground, but when they did throw, it resulted in a touchdown half the time. Quarterback Jerick McKinnon was two of four on the evening, and both completions went for touchdowns.

It was an impressive performance on the offensive side of the ball, as the Eagles converted an astounding 33 first downs. At 3-1 in the conference, Georgia Southern will now host Wofford next week.
