Georgia Southern slotback Johnathan Bryant is enjoying his time as a college football player, and he's been able to help out the Eagles in several different ways this season. "I like having fun on the field, and to me fun is not always making the touchdown or catching a pass," Bryant said. He added that he likes doing some of the little things to help the team succeed, like making blocks.

Bryant is fourth on the team with 253 rushing yards and he has scored two touchdowns. One of those scores came on a 42-yard run against Furman last weekend. Georgia Southern won that game, 38-17; it was the Eagles' fifth consecutive win.

Thanks in part to Bryant's efforts, the Eagles have one of the top rushing attacks in the FCS. GSU ranks second nationally in rushing yardage per game, 16th in total offense and 19th in scoring offense.

The Eagles hit the road to face Chattanooga this weekend.
