Georgia Southern finished its Southern Conference schedule with a 6-2 league record.
Georgia Southern's loss to Appalachian State on Saturday won't just have an impact on the FCS Top 25 rankings, but it could put the Mountaineers in a prime position to win a share of the Southern Conference title. The league currently has four two-loss teams, both Georgia Southern and Appalachian State being among them along with Wofford and Chattanooga.
The Eagles, however, are done with their conference schedule and finish with a 6-2 league record after losses to Citadel and Appalachian State. Wofford and Chattanooga go head-to-head next week, while Appalachian State has Furman on the schedule.
