Georgia Southern defeated Old Dominion on Saturday to earn a spot in the semifinals.
Georgia Southern will have another shot at North Dakota State in the playoffs this season after defeating Old Dominion, 49-35, to secure a rematch of last year's semifinal loss to the Bison.
North Dakota State defeated Georgia Southern, 35-7 in last year's meeting as the Bison amassed 451 yards of total offense and forced three fumbles to secure the win.
North Dakota State is the No. 1 team in the FCS playoff bracket this season and narrowly defeated Wofford, 14-7, to earn its second consecutive trip to the semifinals.
On the other side of the bracket, Sam Houston State upset No. 3 Montana State 34-16, while No. 2 Eastern Washington beat Illinois State, 51-35, to reach the semifinals.
North Dakota State is looking to repeat as FCS champion after winning the 2011 title by defeating Sam Houston State, 17-6.
The semifinal games will take place next weekend on Dec. 14 and 15.
