Georgia State head coach Bill Curry told the media that changes will be coming on the Panthers' special teams unit.

The Georgia State Panthers will make changes on their special teams unit this week, when the Panthers take on the Rhode Island Rams on Saturday.

Georgia State head coach Bill Curry wasn't specific about what changes he'll make, but did note that fans and analysts will notice the changes.

"People have come to us ‘let me do this job' and then we've put them in responsible positions and the job still isn't being done," he said. "It'll be clear what the changes are when we make them."

The Panthers had a punt partially blocked in Saturday's 44-21 loss to New Hampshire at the Georgia Dome. They allowed an average of 29.5 yards per return on four kickoffs. Opponents are averaging 27.4 yards per kick return this season.

Georgia State heads into Saturday's game at Rhode Island with an 0-6 record, including an 0-3 CAA record. It's not surprising that Curry will be making changes, as he looks to jump-start Georgia State's season.

Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. Saturday, in Kingston, R.I.
