Richmond Vs. Georgia State: Defensive Woes May Prompt Changes For Panthers

The Georgia State Panthers may see a shake-up on defense, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Defensive coordinator Anthony Midget said that there may be changes to the defensive schemes and personnel if things don't improve for the Panthers.

The Panthers are 0-3 this season and have given up an average of 40.7 points and 496 yards of offense per game. Midget was frank about the condition of the defense:

"We just aren't getting it done," he said. "We keep hammering to the guys that eventually we will get those plays made....We stress fundamentals each day in practice. We have to take what we are doing in practice to the game field. It needs to show up. Right now, unfortunately, it's not."

If the Panthers are going to make changes, sooner might be better than later. They face the 2-1 Richmond Spiders on Saturday, who are averaging more than 35 points per game.
