The Georgia State Panthers close their season and head coach Bill Curry's career on Saturday when they face the Maine Black Bears.
Georgia St. faces a struggling opponent on Saturday, although not one struggling as much as the Panthers are. The 1-9 Panthers will take on the 3-6 Maine Black Bears in a bid to stay out of the absolute bottom of the CAA standings.
The Panthers posted a win against the Rhode Island Rams in October, but it's been nothing but losses before and since. They've suffered a number of injuries to key players, including standout running back Donald Russell. He was leading the CAA in rushing yards before suffering a season-ending injury in Week 8.
The game will be head coach Bill Curry's last, as he announced before the season started that the program's first year as an FBS school would be its last under his control. Going into the game, his career record is 93 wins, 127 losses and 4 ties.
