Jacory Harris Injury: Miami Hurricanes QB Likely Out Vs. Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets On Nov. 13

Miami Hurricanes QB Jacory Harris, injured last week against the Virginia Cavaliers, will "almost certainly not play" next Saturday against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jacketsaccording to the Miami Herald's Susan Miller Degnan. Harris suffered a concussion after taking a brutal form tackle from Cavs linebacker John-Kevin Dolce while releasing a deep pass. Harris left and didn't return.

He's already expected to miss this Saturday's game against the Maryland Terrapins. In his stead against Virginia, Miami trotted out junior Spencer Whipple, who whipped a pair of picks, then burned the redshirt of freshman Stephen Morris. Morris is starting this week against the Terps. If all goes well for Miami, he's the passer Tech can expect to see. He's gone 9 of 22 for 162 yards, two scores, and two picks, and he kept a few plays alive with his feet against Virginia.

Both teams will be without their day-one starters, as Tech's Joshua Nesbitt suffered a season-ending broken arm last night against the Virginia Tech Hokies. In his limited action against Virginia, Morris did call to mind a poor man's Harris, while Tech's backup is an entirely different player than Nesbitt. Tevin Washington is quicker but much less powerful, though he may have a better passing touch.
