Georgia Tech's upset loss at Virginia on Saturday certainly didn't help convince ESPN Gameday to set up shop in Atlanta on October 29 for the Jacket's homecoming game against undefeated Clemson, but the game is still heading to primetime. ABC/ESPN has moved the match-up to a 8pm ET kickoff, airing on either ABC, ESPN or ESPN2.
If the Jackets and Tigers go to ABC, it would mean Tech hosting only their second network prime time game since a 2006 game against Notre Dame. While ESPN's Gameday is no stranger to Atlanta, largely thanks to the Chick-Fil-A Kickoff Game and the SEC Championship, the show has yet to visit this season, possibly increasing the game's chances.
Competition for Gameday on October 29 isn't that tough - undefeated Oklahoma will visit undefeated Kansas State (Gameday hasn't visited Manhattan since 2000), and the only other ranked/ranked match-up could be Nebraska and Michigan State, both of whom will have been featured this season.
