Georgia Tech Vs. Clemson Final Score: Jackets Knock Off Tigers, 31-17

The Clemson Tigers are officially out of the national championship run after falling, 31-17, to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. We've all been waiting on Clemson to deploy a Clemson, and there you have it.

A straight-up upset wouldn't quite count as a vintage Clemsoning, but a decisive collapse against a conference rival certainly does. If not for a badly missed offside call, this one would've been something like 38-17.

And if not for a bad interception (lots of it nots!), Tevin Washington would earn some national recognition for his numbers in this one: He picked up 176 on the ground, along with a touchdown, plus 60 yards passing. Sammy Watkins got his, reaching 153 yards receiving, but the lack of a running game complement hurt Clemson, along with Tech's fast start.

Up next for the 7-2 Jackets, who are now 4-2 in the ACC: a Saturday off, followed by the Virginia Tech Hokies in Atlanta on a Thursday night for what could be the Coastal Division title. Considering the way VT looked against the Duke Blue Devils, a second-straight home upset isn't out of the question. Tech might even be favored in that one.

Meanwhile, the Tigers are still in the running for the ACC title and a BCS bowl bid. But nothing more than that.
