Georgia Tech re-enters the USA Today Coaches Poll this week at No. 23, while the Georgia Bulldogs rise to No. 21.
Georgia Tech's huge 31-17 upset victory over the previously ranked No. 6 Clemson Tigers last night was just another opportunity for the Yellow Jackets to prove their doubters wrong. Now blessed with a No. 23 ranking and a 7-2 record, Georgia Tech could look to face the Tigers in an ACC Championship rematch on December 3rd in Charlotte.
Not to be outdone, the Georgia Bulldogs are 6-2 and won the game not officially known as "The World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party" versus the Florida Gators 24-20. Now sitting at No. 21 this week, the 'Dawgs face an interesting scenario. If they win out (SEC games remaining: Auburn, Kentucky) and South Carolina drops a game, they'll be playing in the Georgia Dome for the SEC Championship.
