Georgia Tech Basketball Vs. Florida A&M: Yellow Jackets Cruise Past Rattlers, 92-59

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets were without Glen Rice, Jr. for Friday nights game because he has bee suspended for violating teams rules, but they did not need Rice tonight as Georgia Tech easily defeated the Florida A&M Rattlers 92-59. Georgia Tech had four players in double figures and were led by Brandon Reed who scored 16 points by shooting 6-of-8 from the field with 3-of-5 coming from three-point range.

The Georgia Tech defense was stingy in this game as they forced Florida A&M into shooting only 37 percent form the field and an even worse 27 percent from beyond the arc. The rebounding discrepancy also was a key reason to why Georgia Tech was able to run away with this game. Georgia Tech pulled down 14 offensive boards and 46 overall compared to only 19 total and four offensive for Florida A&M.

The one area for improvement for Georgia Tech would be in protecting the ball, because they had 17 turnovers on the night with six coming from Reed.

Florida A&M was led by Avery Moore who had 15 points, four assists and three steals.
