Darian Cooper, a three-star DT from Maryland, has reportedly picked Iowa over Georgia Tech, Michigan, and Michigan State. He visited the Yellow Jackets as recently as last month, and would’ve been a very valuable addition to Tech’s 2011 class, especially considering the attrition at defensive line this class has endured, but it’s not to be. He’s rated as the nation’s No. 33 defensive tackle.
Tyler Marcordes, a three-star ATH from Illinois, is the 19th member of the 2011 Georgia Tech football class. He was all-conference as both QB and LB in high school, but projects as a college LB, one of about eleventy thousand the Jackets are bringing on this year. His two other FBS offers were from Illinois and Northern Illinois. The Illini are coming up a lot in this list. Paul Johnson likes to recruit against Ron Zook, for some reason?
Three-star OG Shaq Mason, the state’s No. 13 player, joined the Jackets shortly after. He’s from Tennessee and was also recruited by Clemson and Tennessee.
ATH Corey Moore, a three-star from Troy, Alabama is also on board. And the final signing in Tech's 2011 class is three-star CB Domonique Noble of North Carolina.
