Brian Gregory Hired As Georgia Tech Basketball Coach, According To Dayton Flyers

Brian Gregory is the new Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets head basketball coach, his former school confirmed Monday morning. No word yet from Georgia Tech, but that’s about as solid of a confirmation as you’re going to get. (Also, looks like Jeff Goodman was right.)

Dayton’s Twitter account:

It has been confirmed that Brian Gregory is taking a new coaching position at Georgia Tech. We wish BG and his family good luck.

According to the Dayton Daily News report, the program will hold a press conference Monday afternoon to introduce Gregory, who would become the 11th men’s basketball head coach in program history.

Up until the latest round of reports, Gregory’s story had been that he had not yet received an offer. Perhaps he received one very early this morning or very late last night. Either way, it looks just about certain that Gregory will be coaching the team at Philips Arena next season.
