Georgia Tech Vs. UNC Score: Not Playing Kansas (Or WCU) Anymore

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets have the greatest offense in the country, if you're into nothing but stats. Their ACC opener and first game against actual competition marks their chance to prove this year's attack actually ranks among the country's elite.

The North Carolina Tar Heels' offense took an early lead after a Giovani Bernard touchdown rush on the opening drive. UNC also became the first team this year to prevent a touchdown on Tech's opening drive -- in fact, the Heels were the first team not to let the Jackets score a touchdown on their opening play.

A false start on Orwin Smith, Tech's most productive offensive player, put the Jackets in a third-and-long, setting up a surprising field goal attempt on fourth down. Paul Johnson usually just goes for it, in case you haven't paid attention to Tech football since the George O'Leary days (nobody paid attention during the Chan Gailey days).

It's 7-3 UNC halfway through the first.
