As the calendar turns to the new year, the college basketball season shifts into conference play. Georgia Tech wraps up its non-conference slate Tuesday with a home game against Alabama at Philips Arena. The Crimson Tide are also Georgia's opponent on Saturday when they open conference play at Stegeman Coliseum.
The Yellow Jackets also open conference play at home on Saturday when the Duke Blue Devils come calling. Georgia State carries a nine game winning streak into the new year and have three conference match ups against Drexel, VCU and George Mason.
