The Yellow Jackets open ACC play at Phillips Arena hosting national power Duke at Noon on ESPNU.
Georgia Tech (7-7) will open ACC play by hosting No. 3/5 Duke (12-2) at Phillips Arena in Atlanta on ESPNU, with both teams looking to rebound from losses. The Yellow Jackets were routed by Alabama at Phillips Arena 73-48 Tuesday night, their third consecutive loss, while Duke lost just its second game of the season on the road at Temple Wednesday night.
Georgia Tech is led by 6-5 junior Glen Rice, Jr. who is scoring 12.5 points per game (19th in the ACC) with 6.8 rebounds per game (10th) and Mfon Udofia, a 6-2 junior averaging 10.2 points per game. The Jackets will need as many scoring threats as possible against an agressive Blue Devils team. Duke ranks second in the ACC in scoring (82.1 ppg) and third in scoring margin (+13.1 ppg), and is the only ACC team shooting 50 percent from the floor (50.1)
