Despite averaging 331 rushing yards per game, a mark good for third best among FBS programs, Georgia Tech offensive line coach Mike Sewak said his unit has not performed "up to my expectations," according to a report in The Atlanta Journal Constitution.

Georgia Tech's offensive line, which returned four starters from a year ago, has struggled to pick up defensive line stunts and linebacker blitzes, Sewak told the AJC. The Yellow Jackets have also focused on pass protection after allowing nine sacks on 90 pass attempts.

"We worked hard on it," Sewak said. "I thought we'd be better at it. We have not."

Despite Sewak's complaints, the Yellow Jackets' offensive line is still one of the team's strengths. Georgia Tech's 331 rushing yards per game average is the program's best since 1975, and its 37.8 points per game is the highest since 1921.

"I think they're doing great," quarterback Tevin Washington said. "I can't complain."
