Georgia Tech's defense hasn't been one of its strong suits this season. After firing defensive coordinator Al Groh last week, more changes cold be coming to the unit before the Yellow Jackets' game against Boston College on Saturday.

The Yellow Jackets will substitute and rotate in more backups at both defensive line and linebacker in this week's game, according to a report in the Atlanta Journal Constitution. When Groh was coordinator, Georgia Tech would stick with its staters for the majority -- if not all all -- of the game. Johnson told reporters Wednesday that's something he wants to change.

"If you're playing 30 snaps in a half, maybe not so much," Johnson told the AJC. "If you're playing 50 snaps, you've got to rotate [them] and try to steal a few snaps here and there."

Specific players Johnson said could see more playing time this week are defensive linemen Shawn Green, Euclid Cummings, Adam Gotsis and Anthony Williams and linebackers Anthony Harrell, Chris Crenshaw, Malcolm Munroe, Nick Menocal and Tyler Marcodes.
