Boston College Vs. Georgia Tech: Jackets working against stacked WRs

Joshua S. Kelly-US PRESSWIRE

The Yellow Jackets are working on specific defensive schemes in anticipation of their game with ACC-worst Boston College.

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets have struggled against stacked-wide receiver sets this season in games against Middle Tennessee and Clemson, and the team has been working on defending the set this week in practice in anticipation of its ACC matchup with Boston College, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

In the set, two receivers line up right behind one another, which allows the second receiver to run a route without being bumped at the line. Interim defensive coordinator Charles Kelly said he expects to see the formation again until the Jackets prove they can defend it:

"Things that have given you problems in the past, you're going to see them again until you fix 'em," Kelly said. "That wouldn't surprise me to see that."

Georgia Tech (2-4) hopes Boston College (1-5) is just what they need to get a disappointing 2012 season back on track. The Eagles are last in the conference. The two teams meet Saturday at 3 p.m. ET in a game available on ESPN Gameplan.
